An Antioch man shot to death in gunfire that also wounded another man last week in that city was identified publicly by authorities on Monday.
The shooting in the 2900 block of Enea Way on Feb. 14 killed 47-year-old Michael Avila. He died at the scene.
Officers headed to the scene around 10:38 p.m. after several reports of gunshots in the area. They found Avila sitting in a vehicle parked in the street with at least one gunshot wound, police said.
A 37-year-old survived the shooting. Police said he was wounded in the chest.
Police have not made any arrests, and they have not said what they believe the motive to be.

The homicide was the first in the city of Antioch in 2021. The city recorded nine homicides in 2020.
