Campbell crime report for the week of May 14

April 26

9:10 a.m. in the 2300 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A man, 75, stole a bottle of alcohol and drank it outside. He became heavily intoxicated and started yelling at customers.

1:13 p.m. at White Oaks Road and Curtner Avenue: A man, 28, was reported to be walking in traffic and yelling at passing cars. He was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.

6:59 p.m. at Budd and Emory avenues: A man, 42, was contacted in connection with a suspicious vehicle. He provided a false name, was in possession of meth and a meth pipe, and displayed objective symptoms of stimulant use. He was arrested and was found to be a parolee at large.

9 p.m. in the 700 block of East Campbell Avenue: A rented gray 2020 Toyota Tacoma was stolen.

11:11 p.m. in the 600 block of East Campbell Avenue: A man was involved in an argument and was found to be intoxicated while in public. The suspect was carrying a loaded .22 Walther pistol in his pocket without a permit.

1:18 a.m. at Hamilton Avenue and Creekside Drive: A man, 30, was involved in a collision into a hydrant and light pole and fled the scene on foot. He was DUI on marijuana. A search of his vehicle and belongings revealed a loaded 9mm Springfield handgun and an unloaded Glock .40cal firearm. (

April 27

Overnight in the 500 block of El Patio Drive: A white 2004 Ford F150 work truck was stolen.

9:18 a.m. in the 300 block of North First Street and Hamilton Avenue: Officers investigated a hit and run in which someone collided with two parked vehicles. Officers later stopped a vehicle driven by a man, 27, who admitted to being involved in the collision and was found to be driving under the combined influence of alcohol and a stimulant. The suspect had been driving on a suspected license and had a $20,000 DUI warrant.

11:30 a.m. in the 300 block of East Hamilton Avenue: A man stole a beer and left without paying.

Overnight in the 1300 block of White Oaks Avenue: The exhaust system was stolen off a Ford F250.

3:45 p.m. at Campbell Avenue and South Fourth Street: An unknown suspect smashed the window to a vehicle and stole personal items.

7:09 p.m. at Grant and First streets: A man, 37, was stopped for a vehicle code violation. He displayed objective symptoms of intoxication and was found to be DUI.

8:50 p.m. in the 100 block of Sunnyside Drive: The suspect came over to the victim’s house while she was home in violation of a served protective order.

11:21 p.m. in the 900 block of Sharmon Palms Lane:  A man, 28,  was contacted in a vehicle in a carport. He was found to have an outstanding $150,000 warrant for gang-related violence charges.

April 28

12:33 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: A man, 46, was reported as suspicious. He was contacted and found to have warrants for felony vandalism and petty theft.
