Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle overcome reported ‘rocky’ times to flee New York for Miami

Knowing they’d likely be shunned in the Big Apple by residents not fond of their role in firing up the mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol, Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle are joining the Trump family’s exodus from New York City to Florida, .

The New York Post is reporting that the couple, known as “the prom king and queen of MAGA-land,” are eyeing property in Jupiter, just north of Palm Beach, the location of Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.

The president and first lady hope to land at Mar-a-Lago after Jan. 20, while Trump Jr.’s sister, Ivanka Trump, and her husband, Jared Kushner, have purchased a $30 million plot of land on Miami’s exclusive Indian Creek Island, known as “Billionaire’s Bunker.” Trump Jr.’s younger half-sister, Tiffany Trump, also is said to be looking to buy a condo or house in South Beach, Miami’s “party capital,” Page Six reported.

News of Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle’s planned move comes as the president was impeached for an historic second time, charged with inciting the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. Meanwhile, the Trump Organization, which Trump Jr. helps run, faces an uncertain future. In the aftermath of the insurrection, New York City and other businesses, including the PGA golf tour, canceled contracts and events with the real estate development firm.

“There is no way they can stay in New York. They’d be tortured in the streets,” a  source close to the family told Page Six.

Perhaps surprisingly, the New York Post reported that Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle, a two-time divorcee and the ex-wife of California Gov. Gavin Newsom, had been dealing with “rocky” times in their relationship.

In their appearances at pro-Trump rallies, including the one that preceded the Capitol siege, they have seemed in synch over their shared devotion to promoting for “Donald Trump’s Republican Party,” which has recently included promulgating Trump’s grievances, false claims about the election being stolen from him and the need to “fight” to overturn the results of the Nov. 3 election.

Donald Trump’s oldest son and the former Fox News host also have been known to act flirtatiously and call each other pet names. Campaigning for Republican candidates in the Georgia Senate runoff, Trump Jr. lovingly called Guilfoyle “babe” and “a Puerto Rican pit bull,” referring to her mother, who was Puerto Rican.

During the presidential campaign, for which Guilfoyle was a top fundraiser, the couple reportedly took things too far with Politico reporting they would “banter in sexually suggestive ways that made some donors uncomfortable.”

The New York Post’s sources didn’t specify why things had been “rocky” between them. They only said that the relationship “is back on track.”

“They are committed to each other”  one of the sources told The Post, adding that they are looking to buy a home in “a very secure, guarded, protected community with like-minded conservatives.”
