A former gynecologist convicted of sexually assaulting patients in Wisconsin was arrested on allegations he exposed himself to women in downtown Novato.
Evan Keith Saunders, 56, was booked Saturday night after witnesses reported a flasher outside two restaurants along Grant Avenue, according to the Novato Police Department.
Saunders drove off before officers arrived, but witnesses provided a photo of the flasher, a description of his car and the license plate number, police said.
Police detained Saunders at his home and matched him to the witness photo. Witnesses identified him as the alleged flasher.
Saunders said he was near the restaurants but denied exposing himself, the police department said.
Saunders remained in custody Sunday night at the Marin County Jail.
Saunders has another indecent exposure case pending involving an incident in Novato in 2019. His next hearing is set for March 3.
