
OAKLAND — A 68-year-old Berkeley man was killed Wednesday night when the car he was driving slammed into a parked trailer in West Oakland, police said.
The man’s name has not yet been released.
The fatality happened at about 11:07 p.m. Wednesday in the 2500 block of Campbell Street.
Police said the man was driving a Nissan Altima westbound when he crashed into a parked trailer.
He was trapped in the Nissan and had to be extricated by firefighters. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said it appears alcohol was a factor in the collision.
