Don’t look now, but this just might be the best retro pop-music package tour of 2019.
Of course, we’re talking about the trek headlined by the New Kids on the Block, one of the most popular “boy bands” of all time and the multiplatinum-selling act behind such smash hits as “You Got It (The Right Stuff),” “I’ll Be Loving You (Forever),” “Hangin’ Tough,” “Cover Girl” and “Step by Step.”
But this tour features so much more than just the New Kids.
For starters, NKOTB will be joined by Salt-N-Pepa, the legendary hip-hop troupe that should have been elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame years ago. Salt-N-Pepa was absolutely terrific during its set at last year’s Outside Lands music festival in San Francisco.
Also on the bill is Naughty By Nature, the hip-hop troupe that gave the world the multiplatinum single “O.P.P.”

Then there’s former teen idol Tiffany, who you might remember for her hit cover of “I Think We’re Alone Now.”
Not a Tiffany fan? Prefer, say, Debbie Gibson instead?
Well, that’s cool. Because Gibson (“Foolish Beat,” “Lost In Your Eyes”) is also on the bill.
Catch all the retro fun on May 29 at the SAP Center in San Jose and May 30 at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.
