• Police seek suspect in Brentwood stabbing A man was hospitalized after being stabbed Monday afternoon at a Brentwood Park & Ride on Walnut Boulevard. East Contra Costa Fire Protection District was called to 4000 Walnut Boulevard at 4:01 p.m. for a man down with a knife wound to his upper torso. Brentwood police administered first aid and the man was later flown to a trauma center. His condition was not known. Authorities are searching for the suspect. • Oakland murder suspects arrested in Tracy; police say victim was chased, gunned down in broad daylight OAKLAND — Two men have been arrested and charged with murdering a 58-year-old man during a 3 p.m. shooting in Oakland last week, court records show. Terrance Jones, 30, and Arthur Jones, 67, were arrested Jan. 15 in Tracy on charges that they murdered 58-year-old Lai Dang. According to court records, Terrance Jones is suspected of shooting Dang and Arthur Jones is suspected of being the getaway driver. Dang was shot and killed around 3 p.m. Jan. 11, on the 2400 block of Market Street in Oakland. Another person was wounded by gunfire but survived, police said at the time.…
• Oakland police decry homicide spike OAKLAND — A man shot during an attempted robbery last weekend outside his East Oakland home died Thursday morning, police said. The man, identified by police as Lucio Monzon-Funes, 28, was shot shortly after midnight Sunday outside his home in the 8200 block of D Street. Police said another man approached Monzon-Funes, pulling a gun and demanding money and other valuables from him.  When Monzon-Funes tried to get away he was shot, police said. Nothing was taken, and the suspect fled on foot. Monzon-Funes died at 7:34 a.m. Thursday, authorities said. Police have not made any arrests in the case.…
