Wildfire forces Kim and Kourtney Kardashian to flee homes

Kim Kardashian was forced to grab as much as she could in an hour and flee her home Thursday night because of an out-of-control wildfire threatening her neighborhood in suburban Los Angeles.

In a video the reality TV star posted on Instagram Story, she revealed that she had just arrived back at the Hidden Hills compound she shares with husband Kanye West to find that she needed to evacuate due to the Woolsey wildfire, People reported.

“Just landed back home and had 1 hour to pack up & evacuate our home. I pray everyone is safe,” the 38-year-old “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star wrote.

Kardashian shot the video from her private plane and from her car. “They’re evacuating everyone right now from all of our homes,” she said on the video.

The Woolsey fire broke out around 2:25 p.m. Thursday west of Chatsworth and spread south from Simi Valley.

The City of Calabasas, near Hidden Hills, also issued a voluntary evacuation order for neighborhoods south of Interstate 101. Kim Kardashian’s sister, Kourtney, lives in Calabasas and chose to evacuate.

Kourtney Kardashian shared a photo on Instagram Story of her car trunk loaded with packed suitcases.

“I pray that everyone is kept safe and protected from these fires. No Calabasas tonight,” Kourtney Kardashian captioned her photo.

By early Friday morning, the fire had grown to more than 7,500 acres with 0-percent containment, and multiple fire agencies responded to help battle the blaze, ABC7.com reported. At least 30,000 people were forced to evacuate.

A second fire, dubbed the Hill Fire, was burning in Ventura County in the Newbury Park area near Thousand Oaks, just miles from the scene of a deadly mass shooting that claimed 12 lives Wednesday night.

This blaze also broke out Thursday afternoon. It had grown to between 8,000 and 10,000 acres, closed Interstate 101 and was threatening homes and forcing evacuations, KCAL.com reported.

One of those evacuating the area was actress Alyssa Milano, who told fans on Twitter, “I just had to evacuate my home from the fires. I took my kids, dogs, computer and my Doc Marten boots.”

“(Husband is in NY. Horses are being evacuated by my trainer),” she added.
