Osmond shared photos of the wedding ceremony — in which he wore the famous coat from his time performing in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” — on social media
Donny Osmond brought out his “coat of many colors” last week for a special occasion — to perform a wedding ceremony.
Osmond — who starred in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” in the 1990s — shared on Facebook that he officiated the wedding of his friends Todd and Rachel Salmon in Utah while wearing the famous coat, according to Religion News Service.
“Just before I married them, I said, ‘Pastors would normally wear a robe. This pastor will now wear a coat,’” Osmond wrote on Facebook.
Never in a million years did I think that I would be asked to marry someone. Last Saturday I took on the title of Pastor…

In order to perform the marriage, Osmond wrote that he acquired a special license from the state of Utah.
“Anyone else want to get married?” Osmond joked in his Facebook post. “Sorry, my license was only good for that wedding.”
This isn’t the first time that Osmond has donned the multi-colored coat for fans in recent months. In April, he wore it while taking on a challenge from “Joseph” composer Webber, the Deseret News. Webber had encouraged fans to sing “Any Dream Will Do” from “Joseph” and post the video on social media.
Osmond shared a video of himself performing the song while wearing the coat, accompanied by Webber on the piano via a livestream video on his laptop, according to the Deseret News.
“Any Dream Will Do”
My buddy Andrew Lloyd Webber asked to see videos of his followers singing “Any Dream Will Do”. I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to bust out my Joseph coat!
Should I wear my coat of many colors to the dinner table tonight?
