SALT LAKE CITY — Although the final schedule hasn’t been set, Utah coach Larry Krystkowiak confirmed that the Utes were planning to still play BYU in a preseason contest, most likely in December this year.
The Utes will play a 27-game schedule this season and earlier Wednesday, it was confirmed that Utah would play in the eight-team tournament in South Dakota Nov. 25-27. With 20 Pac-12 games, the Utes will have four non-conference slots to fill.
When Krystkowiak was asked if the Utes would still play at BYU this year, he said, “As far as I know we’re moving forward with that game and we’ll have three other games to come up with.”
The original schedule had the Utes playing in Provo on Saturday, Dec. 12, but Krystkowiak didn’t say if that date would stay the same.
