The Utah football program received its first commitment from an in-state player for the class of 2022 on Monday, and it’s a prospect who is very familiar with the Utes.
Weber athlete Aisea Moa announced his pledge to the program via Twitter, meaning that should he indeed end up signing, he would follow in the footsteps of his father Ben, who played at Utah in the 2002 and 2003 seasons.

Aisea Moa is a 6-foot-3, 220 pound athlete who, according to 247 Sports, also holds offers from BYU and Utah State. In the 2020 season for Weber, Moa tallied 17 tackles and three sacks on defense and seven catches for 84 yards with a touchdown on offense, according to Deseret News statistics.
He joins Washington quarterback JP Zamora as prospects who have committed to the Utes for 2022.
